Comments about Burris Optics Burris Optics 3 - 9 x 40mm Fullfield II Series Riflescope, Matte Black Finish with Ballistic Plex Reticle, with Free 8 x 32 LandMark Binocular.:

This scope is an excellent value for the money. The optics are clear and crisp though a bit darker than similar scopes from other makers. This not a huge issue unless you are shooting at dusk or dawn where, unless you have 50mm objective minimum, you are still going to have trouble seeing. The Ballistic Plex sight is acurate and easy to use. The scope comes with ballistic correction charts for the sight covering the majority of common rounds and bullets with which you can increase the accuracy of the ballistic plex. The parallax is fixed at 100 yds which can limit the useful range of the scope but it is easily good out the 500/600 yd max range of the Ballistic plex. The scope comes with a rubber eye guard just in case you get a little close the eye peice and decide to renew your membership to the "Red Ring Club" With the rubber ring it still hurts but no blood. The scope also comes with "Storm Queen" lens caps. This consists of 2 rubber caps held together with a rubber band. To remove pull off of the scope, put your arm though the rubber band and you're good to go. Nothing could be simpler. Adjustment of the sight is simple. The adjustment turrets have thumwheel adjusters. No tools required as with the Leupold Rifleman and the Nikon Prostaff (Nikon Buckmaster does have thumbwheel adjusters) All round excellent first scope or mountain hunting scope. Hard to go wrong.
