The old saying, that "the best telescope is the
one you use the most" applies here. I have a few
scopes, one a high end refractor on a monster EQ
mount, but the A80mf is my scope of choice on any given night. Its long focal length insures good color correction, the light weight but very sturdy construction means easy carrying and steady viewing, and the excellent optics deliver superb sharp images. This is a great scope for moon, planets, double stars, and the brighter deep space objects. The red dot finder is easy to use and adjust for accurate object location, and the slow motion controls on the alt-az Porta Mount are smooth. An excellent, affordable package for the astro beginner to intermediate observer. It will serve you well for many years. .
