Comments about Celestron Celestron CPC800 XLT Starbright H.P. 8" Schmidt Cassegrain 2032mm f/10 Telescope with NexStar Computer Control & SKyAlign Technology:
This is definitely a professional grade scope that offers even the beginner a world of features that does not overwhlem you. Easy to use and pretty much self-explanatory. This scope does it all for the hobby astronomist. The goto feature is dead on and the data base so expansive that you can literally stay busy for months! The quality of build of Celestron scopes are second to none. This scope line is built like a battleship. The XLT optic coatings are wonderful. If you are looking for a scope with GPS and lots of features this is the one.

An excellent scope for the money. GOTO works perfectly and tracks objects flawlessly. Do yourself a favor and get a 24mm Televue panoptic eyepiece and you will feel like you are swimming in the Orion Nebula. The tripod is extremely stable which is important when viewing Deep Space Objects. Planetary viewing is a joy. The only regret is I didn't purchase this a year ago.Celestron has really hit a home run with this scope![...] Great scope!NOTE: The key eyepieces for an SCT are 24mm, 13mm and 9mm. The addition of these key eyepieces will greatly enhance your viewing experience. The stock eyepiece (40mm ex-cel) is a decent low magnification eyepiece which I quickly replaced.

simply an amazing scope,. Ive seen things thru this telescope i might of missed with anything else. the goto functions flawlessly. its easy to setup and align. quality construction and optics. ive had it for 3 months and it was in perfect collimation to begin with and it still is. ive pretty much made it all the way thru the messiers that are in my night sky. even with the light pollution ive seen all but a couple. the double cluster and wild duck are amazing. the swan and dumbell nebulas awe me. the blue snowball and ring nebula are also awe inspiring thru this scope. its somewhat more portable than its larger siblings. ive decided to do some astrophotography with it and have mounted a 80mm apo to guide or do wide fields off the cpc. i think its a keeper ;)
