Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Very simple to mount, you fit the velcro along the inter ring of the filter, stick some velcro on your scope, then slip it on. I drape a towel over my scope to cover the finderscope and to stop the scope from heating up to much. I've used it 5+ times (would use it much more if the weather would cooperate.) but haven't seen any sunspots due to the current solar cycle. However, you can see granulation, and near the limb there is a wavy heat effect. I am looking forward to the move toward solar maximum (and summer!) so I can see some sunspots.
