Used with the replacement eyepiece finder for the FE, you can now have an eyecup on your D-300 rather than the one that came with the camera. Unfortunately, the replacement eyepiece finder easily unscrews (especially while carrying the camera) with the result that the eyecup is lost. I bought two just to be on the safe side.
