I loved the idea of a wireless radio remote because the 2 weak Canon infrared trigger offerings need to be used in front of the camera to hit the camera body's built-in sensor in the front, and both have limited range. BUT...once i received this wireless I realized that to use the radio trigger functions it MUST be attached to the flash hot shoe, which is a big problem. If you want to use your built-in or flash or a speedlight on the shoe, you can't! I was forced to return the item. I think the item description should be updated to say this, and show a photo of the hot show trigger mechanism so it's clear... you can use this as a wired trigger without attaching it to the hot shoe, but wire triggers are available from $19.99! Really bummed...

Once you take a look at the parts...the instructions made sense.

Initially, had difficulties getting it to work, tunrs out it was a dead Chinese Battery. After battery replacement things work well.
