Can't beat it for the price! Does the job for me.
Thanks
Bought this product to help stabilize camera when using AEB function for creating HDR exposures. Great product for the price. Functions duplicate the shutter button, press halfway then all the way to take photo. Excellant product.

This is an awesome KIND of product for uses where you don't want camera shake (macro, low-light, portrait, etc), but I am less than pleased with this particular model. It does work as advertised, and works quite well, but the area where the extension cable enters the remote is so weak, the attachment so shoddy, that it pulled out (taking the wires, and thus all functionality) after probably 5 hours of gentle use. If you get one, make sure you have some epoxy on hand to repair that junction before the wires are completely pulled out...and if you want to try to repair it, there are micro-screws under the shiny label on the back, so you don't have to mutilate it trying to open it.
In summary, if the thing would hold together, it would be the ideal inexpensive version of this kind of product. As is, however, it needs improvement. It's just too bad I tossed the warranty card!
It works perfectly on my XTI. I did find a need for a little longer cord as others mentioned, but overall it works fine. I had been using the IR remote but this is much better as I dont have to be in front of the camera to use it. I only wish I had gotten it sooner. Good product [...]
Prevents camera shake cheaper than the canon switch.

This remote worked perfectly on my Canon XTi (400D). I am very pleased. I use it for macro and landscape shots. As others have stated a longer cord would be nice, however I easily cured the problem with an extension 8' cord [@]
The remote controller did not work with my Rebel XTi. It would allow the camera to run the auto focus and set the exposure, but it would not trigger the shutter release. Tried everything I could think of to make it work and nothing helped. [...].
Don't know how I did without it. Love it. One of the best purchases, besides my camera, that I have made
Works quite well, no problems. A longer cord would be a nice option (6 to 8 feet). Standing right next to the camera makes it more a 'hands off' shutter control rather than a true 'remote'. Even with this limitation it improves macro and close up work by reducing camera jiggle.
Product works very well, and with the exception of how short it is you can purchase a longer cord by buying a stereo mini plug headphone cord that is 15 feet long.
This cable release is exactly what I wanted. It allows use of a long lens on a tripod without the shake that occurs when the shutter is released.
The only improvement I would like to see is either a longer cable or the availability of an extender cable. This would allow you to be other than right next to the camera while shooting.
