I purchased this unit for a Fuji IS-1. The camera is very light because of it's small size and does not have enough inertia to remain steady when pressing the comparatively heavy shutter button (unlike the lightish feel on slr units) which can result in blurred images particularly at full zoom. For the price, this remote release is worth getting, and the cable is heaps long. Depressing the remote button activates the AF, and finally the shutter, just like the on camera shutter button.
