I have these for all of my SLR's. It is much clearer than the plastic one supplied by nikon! So I find it more asthetically pleasing.
But most important, I dropped my D300 and shattered this cover, but my LCD screen was fine! NOT a SCRATCH on it!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!

Doesnt work

Pros:
Nice glass
Cons:
Falls off, Not Durable
Describe Yourself:
Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This thing fell off twice within the first 10 days since installing it. The double-sided tape they use is strong at the outset but the adhesive wears off (too quickly). Once it falls off and gets dirty, all you've got is a [$] useless piece of glass. I think I'll use the plastic covers they use for Palm Pilots instead. I'd never buy this again.

A terrible idea for a good camera

Lightweight, Wafer thin
Cons:
Hard to remove
Best Uses:
Only as last resort
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought the D200 version of this for my D200. The protective "glass" (really plastic) attaches by an adhesive. Directions for removal tell you to heat the glass with a hair dryer 2" from the LCD for 30 seconds, but, "do not overheat, and be cautious of not injuring your hand." There is no way I will glue a screen to my expensive SLR with an adhesive that requires heating the camera for removal. Once in place, the screen is no clearer (though a bit thinner) than the LCD protector provided by Nikon, but it is less replaceable. I guess I just wasted money on another useless gadget.
