I am unable to evaluate my photos by looking at the LCD when outside. This helps tremendously by eliminating the light on the screen.

Took my D300 to Arizona for lanscape shots.
Would not have been able to review pictures on-screen without this product because of the bright ambient light.

I live in Florida. In our bright sunlight the monitor screen on my camera is useless. With this loupe, I can see again!

After trying out a friend's Hoodman at a recent outdoor photo shoot, I had to get one of my own. Now, I won't leave home without it. It gives you an amazingly bright and clean view of your LCD screen regardless of the conditions you are in. It's lightweight and comes with it's own lanyard so it's easy to wear it around your neck while you're shooting and have it readily accessible.

As a Canon shooter I would not be without one as small flashing highlights are hard to see in daylight. My first one fell in the path of a lawnmower and I was so accustomed to it I replaced it immediately.

Most helpful when the lighting is challenging, especially bright sunlight. It has really improved the percentage of shots that are usable. I do a lot of nature photography and the Loupe has been a big asset.

I purchased this product so I could view my cameras LCD screen outdoors to help me make adjustments for lighting conditions while taking photos outdooors. The product is a great help as it can be very difficult to see how your photos are turning out because of glare. I thought the product might be bulky and cumbersome to have with me but it is not and does come with a carrying case or can be worn around neck.

You can actually view your pictures in bright sunlight. You do however still see a small bright circle in the middle of your LCD. I guess it is because I am wearing glasses and I can't get any closer. I don't always like wearing it around my neck but the truth is it works pretty well that way.

Barrell distortion. Just a little. Use it to check exposure. It also pushs the LCD size back which makes the screen smaller than 1:1

Pros:
Covers large screen
I was using the Digifinder on my older camera with smaller screen and it was great. My newer Nikon D200 has a larger screen so I'm looking for a device like this that covers the larger screen. The Hoodman covers the screen but it has nasty barrel distortion. For [...] dollars I'd have expected better optics!
