I bought this one for an E-510. It gives me a little bit more control over the manually chosen AF point. I will use it for safari and game hunting with my Olympus.
A bit tricky getting used to. Don’t fit glasses!

This magnifier makes it much easier to focus a manual lens on the Olympus E cameras. I use Leica-R lenses on my E-510, this helps a lot, especially when trying to focus wide angle lenses.

Narrows the field of view a tad but more than makes up for it by making manual focus so much easier.

While this doesn't magnify the view a whole lot, it does help in low-light situations where the E-500 can be a little hard to focus and in close-up work where you need critical focus. Other than that, I mainly like that it does increase the distance between your face and the lcd so you're not leaving face-prints on it constantly.

Works well on my E500. Price is to high for what you get.

Not a huge increase in magnification, in regards to it making manual focusing eaiser then the standard eye piece for the E-500; but some improvement.
Biggest difference is the increased distance from the camera body compared to standard eyepiece. Don't feel like I'm smashing my nose and lips against the LCD to frame up any more; and that's a nice feeling.
