I got it to use with my Nikon D80 for product photography and it just works great. I was a bit afraid that it won't work from behind the camera, but it works perfectly fine. I never had to aim or reposition the remote to take a shot. It's also great for macro photography and landscapes. Before I got this I used to get slight camera shake blur on some of the photos, but with the remote I can be sure that all photos will be perfect. It's not to small, so it is very convenient to use and it can be attached to your belt or camera strap so you don't have to worry you'll lose it. Definitely worth the money paid for it and I am really happy that I got it.

This little gadget does just what they say it will do. I can't believe the distance that it works at, over 100 feet. Great for nature shots macro work or getting random shots of people on the street without them reacting to a photographer, since you have the ability to stand far away from the camera.

I purchased this transmitter before a session with a large group of people that included young children and infants. I wanted to be able to be out from behind the camera, so I could interact with the subjects and be attentive to any detail that was out of place. This remote fit the bill. I set up a white reflector to the side of my group, so I could trigger my Nikon D80s infrared sensor on the front of the camera from just about anywhere. I'd travel 4-6 feet to either side of the camera and just aim the remote at the reflector, and the camera picked up the signal immediately.

I would recommend reading the "using a remote control" section of your camera's manual how to change the settings on your camera so it responds to the remote, whether it be for a quick -response or a delayed response. Also, there may be little details, such as how autofocus affects use of the remote, that you may want to research in your manual.
