Do not buy this for your nikon. Get the real nikon battery. Right off the bat, the latch crumbled in my hands on insertion, then it caused an 'ERR' (error) in the LCD on the D1x, causing the shutter to act erratically. I just hope there was no permanent damage. This product should be pulled off the market.

I can shoot over 1,000 photos (jpeg fine) on one charge. Note: This is a new battery. The latch that secures the battery in place is small; removing the battery is tricky, but if you have an old Nikon EN-4 remove the end and put it on Adorama's EN-4. Nikon has a better latch design but Adorama is a better value. I suggest buying Adorama's EN-4 over the Nikon EN-4. For the price buy two.

I purchased two of these batteries manufactured by Synergy Digital. The end caps are defective and commonly fall out of the camera body. I had one fall onto concrete and break. [...].Eventhough they cost half as much as the nikon battery, you will risk all of your investment by using this product.
