I use this battery for my Canon DSLR camera and the best thing about it is that the life of the battery is really long. After fully charging it, I don't need to re-charge it for weeks even if I don't use the camera everyday or every week. In comparison, the battery for my Sony DSC-W290 has to be recharged if I don't use it for weeks and then it has to be recharged again after a whole day of use.

I received an e-mail ad from Adorama offering the battery for [...]and thought even if it didn't last it was still cheaper than AA batteries. I used it for 2 1/2 days at Bosque del Apache, in January 2011, on only one charge. The early morning temperatures ranged from 12 to 17 degrees F. I was using a Canon T1i (also purchased from Adorama). I brought my Canon batteries thinking they would hold up better in the cold conditions,but did not have to use them.

Bought these batteries as a back up batteries and they served me well after shooting for 5 hours, switched to the two I just bought and they finished out the last four hours with plenty of power left in them. Couldn't ask for anything more.

It's good replacement. Although the capacity is lower than the original canon one, it's still a very good replacement for the original one, especially thinking about the price.

bought this to place in an aftermarket grip for my XSi. I have used it for a couple of days now and have had no problems with it. Fits in charger and grip just like the original.

Charges quickly, and has a long life.I leave the camera on while I shoot my products. I did multiple photo sessions before the low battery warning came on. I must have shot 800 or more photos on high setting!

I use the battery to power my CanonT1i. The battery is ready to deliver when I are ready to shoot. I don't have to turn off my camera to conserve power while while I am waiting for a bird to come to the feeders or my Grands to get a natural smile. Also,it recharges very quickly[...] but the Power-2000 is not available just anywhere.

This works as a second battery, but having used it for only one cycle so far, I'm not yet convinced that it has the same life per charge as an original Canon battery. But at the price it it's seems hard to beat.

Although this battery is rated with the same Milliamp hours as the factory battery it clearly does not last as long. There seems to be many aftermarket batteries that are falling into this catagory. I got 2 of these battery on a package deal with the canon BG-E5 battery grip. They fit in the grip and my T1I without issue, no problem inserting or removing. Good product, at a great cost saving.

I bought the Flashpoint LP-E5 battery. It would not charge and came in dead. I was sent a replacement and it was the same - non usable - dead and would not charge. I am now waiting for a third to come in to try it. One good thing is that Adorama was quick to send me replacements. So far their support has been fast to try to make it right.

I did read the reviews about this battery having a poor fit. Decided I would give it a try regardless. The fit is perfect. It not only doesn't stick in the battery slot, it "pops" out just as the canon original does when released.

These take and hold a recharge well. They hold a charge longer than other makes that these replaced. That means more photos without recharging. They were a good investment and we will be purchasing more.

I was nervous about this battery after reading some reviews about a bad fit in the charger. I was pleasantly surprised to find it fit just as well as the canon supplied batery. I used it on a recent trip charging it daily for six days and it's performance was equal to the canon battery.

I have only had this particular item a couple of weeks, but based on the Adorama batteries I purchased in the past, I'm sure this one will fulfill my expectations. The battery charges quick and last a long time. The only thing bad is the Canon battery pops out when you release the battery and the Adorama battery has to be lifted out with a knife or something.

These batteries(two so far) have welds across the pin slots Because of this, the first battery would not fit into the charger or camera. The replacement battery was inserted into the charger with difficulty and then into the camera. It would not come out of the camera, requiring an embarrassing visit to a professional camera shop. Will be returning for a refund.

The battery slides in easily, but is very difficult to extract. I had to chip a hole on the side of the case in order to insert a pin to use in extracting it. You need to be careful to move the white battery retainer while removing the battery using this method, since it could be broken. I'm afraid I can't recommend this particular battery - it's not suitable for use in a Canon XSI.

This battery will have your camera telling you "not tonight, I have a headache"! It's a tight fit, too tight. It took a pair of surgical clamps to get the battery out by yanking on the little tab; the tab is no longer what it once was. I'd hesitate to put it back in my camera without some modifications.

I will say that other than that the battery works fine. Still, fit is a simple enough spec to reverse engineer that I question the quality of this device.

I received a "Flashpoint" brand battery but it does not properly fit the camera. It is a bit too large so it had to be pried out of the brand new camera. It took me 15 minutes to get it out and I damaged my brand new Canon XSi camera doing so. I wrote to Adorama twice for either a refund or replacement but when I did not hear a response, I wrote a scathing review of them. As of today, 1/21/2009, they have refunded the price of the battery so I am upgrading my view of the company. However, I cannot be the only person who had trouble with this battery brand so Adorama should not offer this brand if it has been a problem for others. Kudos to Adorama for the refund but a quicker response from customer service would have prevented my original bad review.

These are not branded Canon, but they are a higher-capacity battery than what comes with an XSi. They have fast recharge and fit the BG-E5 battery grip and Canon chargers well. Considerably less in cost than factory-branded batteries, and indeed let you keep shooting longer.

I bought it as a back-up for Canon's original battery. It fit into the charger all right. Had a hard time removing it out of the charger but it can be done. And it would go into my XSI's battery bay also. The nightmare was I could not get it out of the camera. I had to bring it to Wolf Camera Stores for help. Finally, they had to use a plier to pull it out by force. Each time you pill it out by a plier, you have less room to pull next time because of the the top worn out because of the use of force. My estimate is that you can only pull it by a plier may be two or three times before you wear out the room to apply the plier. Don't use it.

My battery fits just fine...exactly as the original battery.

I just started using it so I can't say that it lasts longer but I expect it to since it's rated for 1500mw vs. 1080mw of the original battery.

Given that this battery is 20 bucks cheaper it's a good value even if it only lasts as long as the original battery.

So far the battery has worked as well as the original one supplied with the digital camera. Since I have had it only a short time, it is difficult make a statement about overall durability, but so far so good. Due to its price in comparison with the battery it replaces, its been a good value so far.

This bat. is a VERY poor mechanical fit. It was hard to get it into the Canon charger that came with my Xsi and VERY hard to get it out again! It would not even seat into the actual camera without forcing it (which I did not want to do). I pressed lightly expecting it to seat, which it didn't and even so, it still jamed in the camera and would not come out normally. After some effort, I was able to gently work it out with no damage to the camera. Fortunatly I did not push hard to seat the battery and got it back out! I wish I had read the other review warning about this before buying the batery and risking putting it in my new camera. I never got to see the battery power up, but it's a "non-starter" on the mechanical alone.

I bought this as an extra battery at the same time I purchased my Canon XSI. I have been disappointed with the fit of the battery. I first noticed this when it was difficult to mount it and unmount it on the charger. It's not that I couldn't get it charged, it is just that it is a really tight fit and you need to "fight" with it a little.

Then, I used in the XSI. I didn't really have much trouble inserting it, but it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to remove it! With the Canon battery as soon as you move the little white latch to the side, the battery pops part of the way out and then you can easily remove it. Because of the tight fit of this battery, when I moved the white latch to the side, the battery did NOT pop out partially. Of course, then there is nothing on the battery sticking up to take a hold of and remove it. I ended up having to use a small screwdriver to forcibly pry the battery partially out.

I bought 2 of these batteries to go in my BG-E5 grip for my XSI. I was a little skeptical because I normally buy OEM stuff just to be safe. Well for the price and the Canon LP-E5 out of stock, I figured I would give it a try. I really wanted to use my grip too. These things are pretty good. I have recharged them twice so far and they seem to be doing what is promised. The build quality is just as good as the Canon one. I havn't done any scientific tests on them but they seem to be pretty good for the price.

These should last a bit longer than the OEM ones as these are rated at 1500mAh compared to 1080mAh on the Canon ones.
