I was hesitant about buying an off brand charger but decided to go for it based on the positive reviews and my previous experience with Adorama branded products.It arrived in a cheap generic looking box and the product itself seemed much too light for a charger. One nice thing about this is that the plug-in prongs flip out so there is no long cord like on the Nikon charger. I plugged my Nikon battery into it and plugged it in and a few seconds later I hear a crackling sound and smell smoke! Something must have burned up inside the charger. The exterior was fine and my battery seemed to have survived.This charger seems to be hit or miss so if you decide to get one keep an eye on it in case it starts a fire.On the plus side, Adorama was very good about taking it back [...]

I've only had the charger a couple weeks, but so far it works as advertised. It will recharge fully discharged EN-ELe3 battery in about 2 hours. I've been using "live view" (NIkon) in around freezing temps, and that drains a battery fairly quickly. An in-car charger is a great idea!

The two prongs on the charger eliminate the need for another wire. Charging is rapid.Cigarette lighter adapter (included) stays in the car, and permits charging my batteries during travel or while camping.

When I first opened the package, I thought I'd made a mistake and ordered a travel unit for my Pentax batteries. It took me about ten minutes to see the swing-out wall outlet prongs! I have four batteries for my Pentax K10D; nothing is worse than a dead battery in the middle of shooting. This unit eliminates all concern for that.
