This battery has provided 200 shots and just surpassed its second week on the initial charge. The battery indicator on my 40D still shows all bars. I'm impressed, considering the price.

Other observations: the fit in the camera and charger were perfect and it's a bit lighter than the Canon BP-511A.

I could not believe the price,when i got them i put a full-charge on them and gave them the test, went to a football game, shoot over 900 images and the battery still had a charge left. A great battery for back-up/spares.

I charged these as soon as I received them. Then, because of other poor reviews I put them on the charger again the next day -- they had lost quite a bit of charge. The same thing happened the next day. In contrast, my original 3 year old Canon battery and my 2 year old Adorama brand battery can sit for weeks without this happening.I returned them and was pleasantly surprised by the speed with which Adorama refunded my payment. Adorama is a great store to deal with!! I just don't trust these batteries.

For a lot of shooting and the need for extra batteries, I was very glad to find an alternative to the higher prices of a straight Canon battery. Can't tell the difference except in stickers and the original packaging. Don't we all need to save a little right now.

This battery has performed at least as well as the OEM Canon battery. I have combined this battery with the Canon battery in my dual battery grip on my Canon 50D and they have worked great together. They have provided a very long shoot time without having to change batteries. I am very happy with this item.

This battery is very reliable. I have taken photos at weddings with two of these batteries in my battery grip and was able to take over 1,000 photos with more than 6 hours of continuous shooting without having to change out my battery. Best battery for your money. At half the cost of the name brand, you will get the same great results and still have money to spend on other accessories.

If I charge this battery completely, put it in my 40D, I am unable to shoot over 150 shots in RAW. In my opinion this battery is not worth the price. you get much more shot for you buck staying with a manufactures battery. I am sorry I wasted my money on this product.

The Adorama Lithium-Ion Battery is as good if not better than the Canon BP-511. It works perfectly. Why would anyone pay more for the name brand battery? This battery is exactly like the Canon battery for less money. If you need another battery this is a no brainer. It works great with my new Canon 50D.

I intended to use this battery as a backup for the Canon BP 511A in my 40D.
After the Canon battery lost its charge after 3 days of shooting, I gave this battery a chance. It lasted only 30 minutes. So much for a back up. Should have paid the money and bought a Canon battery, which I did later. Granted I was using an IS lens, but 30 minutes?

Bought this battery together with my EOS 50D with confidence due to my very good experience with another Flashpoint (Adorama) battery for my XTi. After four charges, it died after about 20 shots. Now I have lost confidence with the brand and would order the original brand instead.

Is what it is, less price battery over factory and works very well...

BUT... There must be some internals missing in the battery for the Canon 30D to like this battery 100%. It is not possible to lock up the mirror for sensor cleaning... When the battery is fully charged the Canon will not let you do a mirror lock up for sensor cleaning, warning on screen that says (more or less) "lack of power". No biggie (well to a point), but I thought I would point that out just in case someone wanted to replace their "Factory" battery/batteries and only have this one.

Now with all said, this is what happens "with me", so take my words as you wish and give at least one battery a try before replacing your one and only Canon battery with this one.

Most of my photography is macro work with my Canon 40D. I try to get the most out of my batteries by using the battery grip. These batteries from Adorama extend the potential time that I have before recharging. I loaded these into my grip a few weeks ago, and they still don't need recharging!

Truly a great product at a very attractive price...but for 5 more penny's we all would have a SAFETY cover for these and this would be the last battery we would ever own for our photo and video equipment. Bought two of these as a backup for my more expensive canon brands - read reviews on it and thought well for half the price of a name brand I'll give 'em a shot.
Worked fine when I first got them, now 6 months later the two I got won't hold a charge and going in the trash. A shame too since they were a good deal, in my case the price just didn't equal to good value.

Using on Canon ZR70 MC. So far I have had no problems (been using about 3 weeks). Only complaint is that it seems to fit somewhat loosley although I haven't had a connection problem.

I shoot virtual tours all day and one battery will last for the entire shoot. Also they charge really fast. I have bought these before and will do so in the future. They do last quite a long time, I have to finally replace them about a year old, for the money you cannot go wrong.

To be fair I gave this 4 stars, it does exactly what I meant it to be--a backup.. It's not my primary battery, I prefer to stick with a Canon for that one, but it is always there when my primary battery runs out. It seems to hold its charge well enough although I really probably only end up using it less than 1/3 of the time.

Who could denie the price was worth the try. I am
sold I just replaced all three of my batteries bought two more for my daugthers camera. She is pleased with their long life also. They keep their charge a long time when not in use.

i have 3 of these.. which the ones i got if made from power2000. It work very well when i first got it but after a few short months (3-4).. it wont hold a charge any more. I should of brought something better made. Out of 3 batteries only 1 hold a charge for now.. When i charge it from low, after 15 mins it full..but its not

I purchased this battery as a backup for the Canon battery that came with my 30D. It has a higher storage capacity that the Canon branded battery. The only drawback is that it does not come with a plastic contact cover. Canon recommends that the battery not be stored in the 30D. If that advise is followed, an accidental shorting of the battery contacts is possible because there is no battery contact cover. Because I use a Pelican case, this problem is more academic than real.

The price of the battery is one-third of the cost of a Canon branded battery.

Needed a new battery and didn't want to spend the price for the canon battery. Not sure what others are using this for to get 2000 shots out of it. I am using a 20D and shoot weddings and wildlife photography and got upto 700 shots before the battery icon went to low. Didn't trust it to keep going since I was shooting a wedding. Anyway, great battery for the price!

This product is very unreliable. I bought it as a backup (2nd battery) before departing for an assignment abroad. While using the battery, my Canon 20D shut off and would not power back up for weeks, thus ruining my shots and leaving me to resort to my backup camera. After sending the camera and battery to Canon Repair Center, the diagnosis was the non-specific battery. After a complete system cleaning, sensor cleaning, and the scare of my life, I am back on my game. Stick to Canon products, for they are worth the extra cash and the sidestepped headache.

the bateries are ok, you can get a couple of this for a good price and save money for critical components, i use an average of 2 bateteries per day, because i am a press photographer and i shot atleast 1200 times daily use a EF 70-200 2.8L with the autofocus in AI Servo on a 30D a pair of this bateries let me shot a complete base ball game and two weddings the same day with just one charge

My first one was a spare purchased with the camera two years ago and it is still good. This one is an extra spare to take on a cruize. Meets my expectation in all ways but could use a protective cover similar to canon's for use when stored in the camera bag.

There is no difference between this product and the original canon battery other than the price. This one is much cheaper. I bought my first one three years ago and it is still strong. It receives 3-7 charges per week depending on the time of year.

After getting caught with a dead battery while travelling I decided I needed a backup, but didn't want to pay the exorbitant price asked elsewhere. The Adorama batteries were the perfect deal [...]. Now I have one in my camera (Digital Rebel) & two for backup. Carry one in my camera bag & one in my briefcase.

i didn't realize if there was a difference in the battery for the camcorder and the EOS digital slr. Good thing the cameras (2) can't tell the difference.

I often need extra power when I don't have a place to recharge. Carrying extra charged batteries solves the problem. Low cost is a bonus.

No problems what-so-ever. Well made can not tell from the Canon version but has a little more oomph!
For the sake of safety if using the handle w/2 batteries use pairs of the same.
