This will extend your shooting time. I travel alot and this allowes me to carry fewer batteries.

After a year of use I can not complain, this is a great grip. I did not use the AA tray, but with 2 canon batteries, it workd great. I had a hard time choosing between Canon's one and this one, but now do not regret it. Great buy.

I've owned 2 of these grips for use on my canon 5d mkii. They're inexpensive and feel fairly solid, but after a period of time both grips had issues where they stopped responding. I had to turn the grip off and on to get it to respond again - even with the camera on the whole time. Sometimes the grip wouldn't respond at all until I shut off the camera for a few minutes. I also noticed that the plastic flexes when on a tripod in portrait mode - at least with a 24-70 f2.8L attached. It's a minor annoyance but you have to compose your shots expecting some creep because of it. I returned both grips and I'm going with a canon grip this time.

I have the original one and I decid to get the copy one for my other two 5D II, I bought two pcs 3 weeks ago and i am using them without any problem, I couldnt see any deferance between the original one and these one, the quality is good and the price is very good for such good quality, I would advice my friends to buy it as it is as good as the original one

Time will ultimately be the judge, but for roughly a quarter the price of the Canon model, this grip really shines. The fit is good, the build seems solid, and everything works as it should. I've always purchased Canon grips on my previous cameras, and now I'm thinking I may have wasted a lot of money because of a name.

This unit is a total piece of [*]. It doesn't mount solidly to the cera and causes it to shut off at the slightest touch. The cheap plastic construction is wreak, and the mounting screw in the bottom broke loose and got stuck on a trtipod mount I attached it to, resulting in me having to break it off to remove it. Epic fail. Buy the canon one

This is an excellent grip if on a budget. I'm not sure if I have a deffected grip but I'm not able to change from portrait to landscape with out have to turn off the grip. The Canon brand lets you do this with no problems.

Have almost every Canon model and have bought the Canon battery grip. Decided to save a buck and see if this one works and is any good.
Well, to my surprise this grip is almost identical to all the other grips and works perfectly. Looks, acts and feels like the more expensive grips. I would highly recommend this grip you will never know the difference.

Absolutly no problems with this product and certainly a better price than the Canon. I would recommend this alternative battery grip for the Canon 5D Mark II.

Very good product for the price. Compared to the Canon brand grip, I dont really notice much of any difference. The Canon grip may be built a little bit better quality, but its not worth that much more than this one. Everything works perfect on the grip. Battery info is transmited to the camera, for both installed batteries! Battery life is effectively doubled, and whats best is it makes taking portraits so much easier and better. It makes the camera a fair bit more bulky, but if you dont want a large camera, go buy a point and shoot!

I took my brand new Canon 5D Mark II out for a shoot in the San Francisco peaks around Flagstaff. I tested it with my friends that morning.... Unfortunately when I went to turn on my camera..nothing at all happened. My heart sank! Luckily I had my 1d MIII as well. I thought the camera was defective (purchased new through Adorama). When I returned home I found the camera worked, just not with the FLASHPOINT Battery grip that was sent to me ( Although the product box says MeiKe) (Sku ICABGE6AP). I tried and tried..but it would never turn ON with the grip. [...]

On one occasion, the center wheel on the 5d-II was inoperative. Removing and reinstalling the grip solved the problem. Otherwise the unit has performed flawlessly.

This is as good as the Canon factory battery hold, but about $200 less. No regrets and works like a champ.

I usually don't go "on the cheap" for camera equipment... but I saw this grip and thought, "why not?!". And so far, it's going strong. I've only had it for a week and it's only weathered 3 or 4 shoots so far... but honestly I can't tell the difference between it and a Canon grip.

This battery grip is comparable to the Canon unit in fit, form and function. It looks exactly like the much more expensive Canon unit and (appears) to be just as good. We will have to let time tell if it lasts long enough to justify it's cost, but for now, I feel like I made a very wise purchase and saved some money at the same time.
