Comments about Camtrol Camtrol Prime, Stabilizing Platform for Smaller Video and DSLR Cameras, Short Arm Model Supports up to 7 lbs.:
This stabilizing system is quite unlike any other I have seen. Out of the box (a very well designed and presented package), you can tell that quality was not spared. It's a plug and play system, as all you have to do is lock your camera to the mounting plate and you are on your way to new explorations.
The grip is truly designed for any hand. It's the most comfortable way to hold a camera. You don't feel like you have to put it down in order to continue with a conversation as you would if you were holding the camera using the originally provided strap. The ball joints are a perfect touch as you have freedom to rotate the bars and set them at as many configurations as possible. They take a little time to get used to adjusting, but once you have it, it's a walk in the park. By the second day of owning my Camtrol, I was fairly quick with the configuration changes.
Of course the ultimate test for the Camtrol would be how it affected my video. Without the Camtrol, my video was notably shaky. The Camtrol gave me new options on how I could hold my camera in a more stable and more efficient ways. There would be no more bending over to shoot the video of a dog or cat. I could set up my video in tight spaces and have full control. Like the slogan says, it gave me balance for my camera, freedom from being strapped to a camera while shooting my video and support for my camera investment that was secure.
