Excellent Point-n-Shoot camera. High Resolution.
Purchased for my Wife who is a novice photographer. She loves the feature set especially the movable display. This camera will easily fit in as a viable backup to my ProSumer DSLR and 35mm SLR.
Rock solid construction and Canon reliability.
Con: The multiple User Manuals would be a concern to digital photography novices, but once you get comfortable with the camera you seldom need to refer to the texts.

Just staring to use the camera - a lot of outdoors on the water shot's. Colors are vivid and balanced. Easy to use and very good pic's without trying.

Have always had good success with Canon products. Love the 8x megapixels for quality.

While not equal to a film or digital SLR, includes many of the features found on professional cameras including: exposure and flash compensation, focus & exposure lock, slow sync, etc.

Lacks RAW files output and easy to use manual focus.

A great, get acquainted with digital camera.

This camera far exceeded my expectations as far as picture quality and ease of use. I especially like the large (2.5") adjustable display.
All in a camera for less than $[...]!
Anyone who desires high quality pictures and an easy to use camera at an affordable price, owe it to themselves to check this one out!
