I am very happy with this camera. I have previously owned several Canon film cameras for the advanced amateur. This is my first digital. We use this for business and personal use. We went with the refurbished model in order to buy accessories and stay within the budget for this purchase.

I found the camera a little small for my taste when I looked at it in the stores. So I purchased a battery grip for it. I would recommend this for anyone else who finds the camera small.

This camera is easy to learn and easy to use. We have used in with all sorts of ISO settings. Indoors and outdoors, for portraits, action shots, landscape, and stills, in B/W, and on all quality settings. The only thing I can say is that is has surpassed our expectations to this point.

We use a tamron 28-300 lens left over from my film camera. It works fine.

In all we are very satisfied with this product.

This is my first step into DLSRs. My last camera purchase was a Rebel G. I am happy that I purchased this for me and my wife at Christmas. [...]a great product from Canon. The refurbished model looks like it could be new in a showroom case.

This is the best camera body for the money. Don't even bother with getting the camera with the standard kit lens. Grab the 50mm 1.8 II. Best lens for the money. But don't be fooled just because you are getting a reasonably priced body doesn't mean you are getting out cheap. Except for a few lens most decent lens will cost more than the body. Many say this body is too small, but it is fine for most. Getting the optional extended battery pack grip is almost a must have. The point of getting a reasonably priced body is to be able to afford a lot of the extras that really get you the great shots. Automatic shooting is nearly worthless unless you are just doing your basic point and shoot. It won't render any great images compared to the various manual adjustment modes. Oh the flash is only good for the point and shoot stuff. You either need to shoot without a flash or buy gear for great photos. I prefer to shoot without the flash, but I mostly shoot black and white artistic shots in lower light. Really just a great little camera, but don't forget to buy a decent bulb blower because the sensor will collect dust. [...]
