Bought this to photograph structural features of buildings for insurance work. It is great, it has all the manual controls necessary to get great shots in low light. I picked this camera, because it seems like it has enough extra manual features to be close to a DSLR, however it is about 1/2 the size and weight. Also thought this would be a great first step towards a DSLR if I thought I needed one down the road. Right now this will be perfect for my needs.

The first battery charge lasted about 3 weeks, with me using it about 1/2 hr/day, still on second battery charge!
