I liked it while it worked. Great little camera! Developed a focusing problem after just three month. All photos are focused about one third the distance they should be focused on (3 meters instead of 9 meters for example), which makes for out-of focus pictures when wide apertures are selected. Tried various focus settings, narrowing down focus points to only the middles of the screen - the problem persisted. Most noticeable at wide lens settings, less with telephoto. I am sending it in for servicing.

This camera is a joy to use, the fast, sharp F2.0 lens and consistently accurate exposure metering make for excellent photos. The video quality is also excellent, with no visible rolling shutter artifact as is often seen in CMOS based cameras.

It feels very solid in hand and the newer conrol layout actually works better than previous ELPHs.

As with any camera, take time to fiddle with the settings a bit before doing any serious photography. A spare battery is also a wise investment for any camera and a good fast card will also improve battery life.
