10x zoom in a compact product, but i didn't like that it has no optical view finder (only the LCD screen). The LCD screen is hard to see in some conditions & it sucks up a lot of power. The other flaw is that there is no remote shutter release capability. The only way to avoid using the shutter release button (& thereby risk blurring your photo due to motion), is to use the delay function. The aperture priority, shutter priority & manual modes are great features. If you need an optical viewfinder look at a Cannon G-9 or G-7?
