I buy this camera as recommendation from my friend who is a professional photographer. Before, I used Nikon Coolpix 5200, but faced so many problems with shaking hand, especially when photos taken by inexperience people.
This new Fuji F30 has the anti-shaking mode, which really help me a lot when capturing precious moment. The multi shots mode allows me to take continuous pictures when playing sport, like when swinging the golf club.
The LCD screen is also big enough for me, comparing with my previous camera.
And I think the price is very reasonable for me to get all this quality (I only do few researches in comparing price since I trust my friend).
Worth buying.

Excellent quality photos in dim light. At 3200 ISO, photos are washed out and noisy, but still good for capturing an image you would otherwise miss. Option to limit ISO to 1600, or to 400. Camera will use any speed up to the limit. 400 ISO is extremely good. As good as my Canon Digital Rebel xti. Usual modes I never use (flower, landscape, etc.), but one unique mode I use all the time: no flash/flash. The camera takes a picture without flash up to 3200 ISO, and then takes a picture with flash immediately after. Usually takes less than one second to capture both images. No flash doesn't surprise anyone and ruin the candid shot, while the following flash guarantees you'll get the image, even if the "warm glow of candlelight" is ruined. I always have the camera set to this mode. Uses xD cards, which I hate, but if you buy a 1 GB card you'll be able to take 400 - 500 photos without ever needing to change the card. Also, battery life is unbelieveable! Fully charge the camera over several hours, and you'll be able to take 400 photos, half with flash, before the battery is drained. Fuji-brand underwater housing is optional, watertight to 40m (121 ft.) Camera comes with underwater setting to intensify non-blue colours, and still keep the intense blue of the water. Literally *every* diver should have one of these cameras. I recommend this camera without hesitation. There simply isn't anything else like it on the market.
Have used on job Pentax Optio 750, Canon G2, Nikon S10, and Digital Rebels XT and XTi. The Fuji F30 beats all except the Rebels in terms of noise at higher ISO settings. Use ISO 400 without any trouble. With Nikon had to limit the ISO to 100 due to noise at higher settings. I'm picky about that. Best of all the price is very reasonble. The Fujifilm is my carry everywhere on the belt camera.
Our last digital camera was a cannon A30. The part which we did not like about that camera was the lag between when you pressed the button and when the picture actually was taken. It was too hard to get those precise moments. This camera has a very good response time. The part I hated was the software, we use picasa and it took some time to find the appropriate driver in order to be able to transfer the pictures w/o having to install the separate software that came with the camera.
Occasional Chromatic Aberration and problems with bright scenes. I'm not sure I'd notice if i didn't read about it in reviews. Bottom 3 mode is awesome(got great baby pix just by holding the shutter button till he made the face i wanted) Sensitivity allows me to capture shots that leaves others jealous (Natural lighting, dim scenes, church, indoors, etc). I even got candle lit/low lit bar/club pix with it. Took some outdoor shots and found the colors and focus good. Menu sys is fair. control avail is good too ( shutter and ap control=awsome for a P&S)
Can't wait till they make it more sensitive, add somesort of anti CA coating, allow some sort of clip on fish eye/wide angle/telephoto, and good optical stabilization. (big wish list I know but, this is perfection for now)
Good for what I bought it for- indoor candid portraits. Capable of more, with some manual control.
Fuji has expended great effort to create a sensor that delivers great images in low light -- the F30 can operate up to ISO 3200 and deliver a surprisingly low-noise image. I've long enjoyed 'available darkness' no-flash shooting, and this is the first point & shoot digital camera to really excell in this area. I only wish they included an optical finder and that its shutter lag were shorter -- this camera makes it tough to capture 'the decisive moment' because it often shoots a full second (or longer) after the I press the shutter button.
