Easy to use with the pre set modes but still flexible enough with the manual settings. I was looking for a camera that I could get lots of close up shots with whithout spending a lot of money. This camera is it!

I use the camera mainly at family gatherings for holidays and parties. Compared to the Olympus camera I owned and that cost $380, the Fuji S700 at #157 is a genuine bargain. I am very happy with the Fuji and would recommend it without any reservations.

This being my 5th digital camera I can work with it best to produce memorable re-worked imagry.
I traded the optical zoom for my old convinient pocket sized camera.

I am well please with this camera, it is well worth the money. It takes great pictures, and it is so small and compact so it is easy to carry around. The only probem I have with it is the lcd is a little grainy until I snapped the picture.

Don't let the pop up flash scare you, it only flashes when it needs to. Hooked to up to the computer with Vista and the camera was recognized right away. Downloaded pictures into a folder with the date and asked what you would like to title the folder. Auto mode is incredible...
In doors no flash...amazing!

I haven't had any problems in the few months that I have had this camera. The video function is a nice plus and the 10X optical zoom works great.

This is the camera that stoked my interest in photography. I bought it on a whim one day mostly just wanting something decent to take pictures of my children with. I eventually began using it for much more - and have taken some amazing photos with it. I eventually upgraded to a Canon Rebel XT after finding myself playing with full manual on the Fuji and wanting more.

I haven't seen a better camera for anywhere near this price. Easy point and click, many options for manual control, good picture quality, and fast.

Its internally run zoom makes it quite robust compared to competitors. Feels solid. Auto white balance as ordinary as competition, but presets/custom work like a charm.
You can limit Auto-ISO to 400, with which it shows very little noise and noise reduction artifacts. ISO 800 barely usable, only recommended if you can get some light to avoid shadow noise.
Only real complaints are a programmable button so I can set it to, eg. change white balance and an easier way to make exposure compensation.
