I have had a great experience so far with this camera. Great colors. Love the Perfect Picture Technology feature. Has really helped remove shadows on pictures & brighten up where needed. My only problem was location of zoom switch but that may be just me. Love the camera and definitely recommend it for quality and price. I'm not a professional but I take way too many pictures.

I bought this camera to backup a Canon SLR. However, I frequently go places to harsh for the SLR so I just take this little Kodak 612 and to be honest I'm not sure I'm missing anything. This camera was a real shock in terms of its performance and zooming capability. It takes great pics in rough places. Its earned my respect and I do strongly recommend it.

I own two other cameras; an Olympus 5 megapixel and a Sony Cybershot with Zeiss lense. This inexpensive Kodak has impressive color depth inside. It is very user friendly especially for beginners yet has features that will appease the hobbyist. Easy file transfer. Automatic flash in low light conditions, for those who always forget they need it. Overall a fine piece of equipment for the price.

Nothing Better
By I SPY MABVerified Reviewer from Wheeling WV on 9/15/2006
Pros:
Accurate Colors, Great Resolution, Nice Features and Settings, Simple Controls
Best Uses:
Home, Office, Professional Work, Travel, Weddings/Events

I used this camera on my trip to Alaska Aug 2006, along with my SLR camera. I may next time just take the Kodak 612 for the professional shots that it can take, as well as the zoom that it can handle with out diffusion of the picture. A job well done by Kodak.
