I got this camera as an upgrade to an older Kodak (Z740). I have been very happy with it taking over 3500 pictures, in all conditions. The zoom is great, the pictures come out very nice (providing the picture taker does his part!), and I have even been able to take really good indoor pictures with limited lighting. I am considering an upgrade to a DSLR, but I intend to keep this one as a back-up for a long time! The battery, when fully charged has let me take 350-400 pictures before running out - including some flash use and use of the display.

The Schneider lens is very sharp at all zoom settings. Autofocus is slow to acquire final setting and can be easily fooled. Shutter lag is my largest complaint. I was annoyed that the rechargeable battery and charger were extra cost options.
