I ordered this camera because I thought I was getting as good a camera as my z812, but with a much higher zoom. Not the case!! The best pictures on the z981 were not any better than on my z812 and most were not as good. The lens was loose and wobbled, which could explain why it had focusing problems. The construction is not as good as the z812. It's possible that I got a lemon, but it certainly wasn't worth keeping. I returned it and will review other high zoom cameras a little more closely.

I love the overall ease of use with this camera while delivering professional quality photos! The sharpness/definition is incredible. I have previously used a Canon and a Kodak and this is the best camera yet for the price point.

I love having a camera with all the features the Kodak Z981 offers. I have taken a lot of photo's over the years and this camera has all the bells and whistles. If I could add anything I would add a flash adapter so I could use some of my older larger and more powerful, electronic flash units. In Kodak's defense, none of the other manufactures offer this option. Otherwise as near perfect a camera as you will find.

I used the camera on a resent trip to NYC and it was my first time using the zoom so continuos and my shots where great.I used it in low light and worked perfect.

over all kodak made a great camera for the money
just not 100 percent happy in low light situations
