Comments about Nikon Nikon Coolpix 5600 Point and Shoot Digital Camera, 5.1 Megapixel, 3x Optical, 4x Digital Zoom, 1.8" LCD Screen - Refurbished By Nikon U.S.A.:
Got this one for the wife. She loves the size and weight. For informal outings (dinners, office parties, etc.) it's fine. We do notice that the pictures are not perfectly sharp unless we are rock steady. But for a 4x6 it is fine. When viewed full screen on a 21" monitor, there is a definite soft edge to the pictures. As we have gotten older, we are both in our 50s, hand shake is a bit more noticeable. But the main reason we got this camera, besides size and convenience, was it's the last of the Nikon point and shoot cameras with a viewfinder. As I mentioned earlier, we are both over 50 and our eyesight isn't what it use to be. We both have problems using the lcd screen at times. The viewfinder is a must for us. It's a shame everyone seems to be going away from viewfinders. I would gladly pay $50 or more to have the viewfinder. Overall for the price it's a good, not great, camera. It takes adequate pictures and the size is a real plus. The viewfinder is, as the MC commercials say, "Priceless".
