Initially seemed like a great little camera to keep in purse for candid moments with family and friends. Shutter/zoom button broke in half the first month. Sent button pieces and camera to Nikon for service. They declined warrantry service, taking pictures of the broken button as "proof" of abuse. Rude service people when called to discuss. I had a Nikon 35 mm for many many years, but could not recommend any of their products at this point based on service experiences!

I accidentaly dropped the camera and it hit the lens. A message came on the screen saying, "Lens Error". I bought the extra warrenty package at the time of my purchase,but it did not cover the accident. I went to a shop to get it fixed, but the bill was so expensive, I found it cheaper just to buy a new one. Always wear a wrist strap!!! (I love the camera though.)
