This camera was a perfect step up from the point and shoot cameras I had been using. Previously a loyal Canon user, I took the jump to Nikon with this DSLR and I haven't been disappointed. The controls are easy to use, and the camera grip is very comfortable. The camera is the perfect size & weight for a petite woman such as myself.
Only drawback is the limited selection of lenses that take full advantage of the cameras capabilities.

I love my new camera. It is everything I wanted. I am just getting started with portrait photography and am enjoying practicing on my kids. I have been totally satisfied with all of my picture so far even the sports ones of volleyball.
