Every bit as good as the d300 in my opinion and even outperforms the d300 in some areas. The video feature is one that i rarely use due to the lenght limitations when recording in HD. You simly cannot beat the value and performance of this camera.

I bought this camera after talking to several semi-professional, and professional photograher friends who recommended it, as well as after reading Consmer Reports which gave the D90 its highest recommendation. I have not looked back since. Adorama gave me the best deal around, and beleive me I shopped everywhere. It's responsive, easy to use and just fun. i can grab it when I see a great sunrise, or when taking pictures of children. I've also used it for night shots of the moon rising, and in low light. Buy it. You'll be happy!

I use my D90 for things such as vacations and holidays. I love it. It takes very clear photos and the images are beautiful! I've owned a Manual Nikon in the past. I've had other cameras before, but there's none like a Nikon! They are AWESOME.
