I selected this camera after comparing other Olympus models and a couple Canons at this price point. I've found it easier to navigate the menus/features, even though I don't necessarily know how to use all of them yet. At this pointed I am limited by my own lack of knowledge about photography, not by the camera. The pop-up camera is not sufficient for all indoor shots, but from what I've read, that is to be expected and I need to invest in a better flash.

I am a Nikon photographer. I previously had used Olympus products and thought for the price, the Oly E620 would be a great back up system. It is a good camera with excellent consumer lenses, but I am spoiled by the Nikon equipment and decided I would rather return the Olympus and purchase a macro lens (sadly missing from my Nikon collection)[...].I would recommend the camera to anyone on a limited budget who wants a well built, easy to use DSLR with reasonably good image quality[...]

I used a Canon XS for 2 years, and this is a definite upgrade from that camera. This camera feels much sturdier and more substantial than the XS. I really like the smaller lenses w/ in body IS.

Also the camera is very feature rich and the menu reflects this. Many features and menu tweaks are hidden at first, so read the instructions.

Battery life seems great. I don't use the LCD as a view finder much, but when you do it does suck the juice, but I would expect this.

After a month (with a long vacation) I am very happy with this camera.

I would give 5 stars, but then what would I give the $5000 pro camera.
