The EP-2 is an outstanding travel and general purpose camera. The primary detractors are an overly complex menu system, very poor high ISO performance, and slow AF. A fast manual third party lens (e.g., Leica, Voigtlander etc. with an adapter) greatly increases the versatility of the EP-2. Autofocus lenses to consider are the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 and 45mm macro.
The Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is a must have accessory. The increased stability by holding the camera up to ones eye and the clarity of the EVF make the camera with the EVF a pleasure to use.

Finally. Someone, namely Olympus with the E-P2, has done what no one else has been able to do. I have seen the technology evolve, and have used many Brand name cameras professionally. Always wanting a small point and shoot type of camera readily available for that 'once in a lifetime shot', but they all had that infernal lag time delay. Now Olympus has accomplished the task and produced a camera in the E-P2 Micro Four Thirds with everything. No more lag time, no prism, light weight, good design, etc. Now a photographer can pack for an extended shoot and carry everything on the plane. In todays world that means a lot.
Focusing on the E-P2, my experience with it thus far has been that it is one of the best instruments for photography that I have ever used. The electronic view finder is a pleasure to use and very accurate. The camera controls are thumb friendly and easy to manipulate. Lenses are very good.
In conclusion the Micro Four Thirds System is the camera system of the future! Thank you Olympus.

A great all round camera. I have not tested as yet with my large zoom, however if the smaller is any indication landscape and scenery will be excellent.

The Olympus E-P2 is my first serious digital camera. I've been waiting years for a non-SLR camera with its capabilities and features at an affordable price.
I'm very happy with my purchase!
It has already served me well on a 2-week Florida vacation. It is light, sturdy, and proved quite reliable. As I gained experience using it I found it reasonably easy to control as well, though it does have many modes and sub-modes and it's sometimes not so easy to quickly change between them.
The only real problem I've had is that while I really appreciate having the ability to use the little thumbwheel on the top right of the back as a control, it is very easy to spin it accidentally when handling the camera, as it turns very easily and give little tactile feedback.
