Comments about Olympus Olympus IR-300 Point and Shoot Digital Camera, 5 Megapixel, 3x Optical Zoom, 4x Digital Zoom, 2.0" LCD, with Docking Station:

Fantastic little camera for the price. I liked it so much, I bought two more for the kids. They like it for shooting little videos (with sound from built-in mic). Reasonably large screen. With 512MB XD memory card, you can shoot over 400 pictures (at 5 megapixels), or over 24 minutes of video. Movies and pictures can be played/viewed thru the dock to any NTSC monitor. That's the only negative (a tiny one)--you need the included dock to download images or view pictures--cannot hook a cable to camera directly. However, for quick docking, the dock does not need to be powered (the camera will provide power). For long sessions, or charging the battery, use the provided power supply. Olympus Master software seems to be pretty complete, however it can only be licensed for use on one computer. I had a brief problem the other day, where I could not download images from the camera, although I could see all of them in the viewfinder/screen. A menu item called "mode reset" fixed the problem, and now I can download once again. All in all, we're very happy with all three IR-300's. I would really give it 4.5 stars, and I would recommend purchasing this camera.
