We use the camera for everyday pictures, snorkeling & scuba diving (with the housing). It has been a great little camera so far! It is easy to operate underwater while on the move.

I mainly use this photo for travel and just quick shots. The quality in bright outdoor settings is great but not as good in low night situations. The high quality video function is really short (10 sec) for some reason.

I've taken this camera on several winter trails here in Colorado Springs, including Rabbit Ears Pass. The photos are great for a point-and-shoot camera. The sun/snow setting is good for snow shots, otherwise the snow scenes are too blue.

This is a very good camera for keeping close when hiking. It's ready for taking a photo just a few seconds after turning it on. The in-camera panorama feature is easy to use, although it took me a few tries to get it right.

The menu is fairly easy to navigate, and basic functions can be accessed with gloves on. Although the buttons are small, I had no problems using them.

The silkscreened button labels can be a little difficult to read and there are a lot of options for adjusting photo quality, so practice at home before taking it out. Also, the LCD screen, although large and easy to read, can wash out in bright sunlight.

All in all, the ruggedness of this camera has me taking it everywhere I go, and the fact that my Apple MacBook Pro saw it instantly made downloading photos easy. The included Olympus software is both Mac and Windows compatible, although I haven't really used it yet. This camera also interfaces with my HP PhotoSmart printer via USB/PictBridge.

So far I love the camera. I can't wait to use it in Hawaii in March!!

Love the panoramic feature, I'd have to say so far, that's the thing I like best about it.

Camera takes great pictures. When mixed with pics taken with an Olympus E500, it is hard to tell which was taken by which camera. I had great experience using it underwater and had great pictures of fish, sharks, and sting rays snorkeling in Belize and of my wife in the swimming pool.

The only drawback is after two 45 minute snorkeling sessions, the paint (I purchased the black model) peeled from a polished metal base. Unfortunately, the plastic trim around the lends was glued to the paint and also came off.

The camera shock proof ability seems to work. The camera fell 4 feet and was bashed against a boat once or twice.

First time in a pool for about 5 minutes and it
died and had to send back for repairs.
2 months later the menu button function quit
working and had to send back again.
Not reliable so far. Camera has nice features if it would work.
