Pretty good all around, a number of useful modes that aren't too complicated. You need to pay attention to your shutter speed in low light, self timer works great. The lack of a good grip takes a little getting used to. Real wide to decent telephoto very useful but one thing you really need to pay attention to is
THE BATTERY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!CARRY QUITE A FEW.

I love this camera for underwater pictures and movies at the pool and for pictures at the beach and to carry with me when it rains. The shutter lag is somewhat annoying. Most settings are in menus, probably to keep the external controls at a minimum for better waterproof design. That makes it a little difficult to make quick changes in things like ISO. Flash modes, focus modes, self timer, and auto bracket are quickly set from the four-way controller.
The battery doesn't seem to last a long time, so I recommend a spare battery. However, the battery indicator is better than most since it gives an early indication of reduced capacity so it doesn't go dead all at once.
I bought the bundle that comes with the camera, the floating wrist strap (which floats with the camera attached), a 4GB SDHC card and a silicone skin which can protect the camera from minor bumps and such.
It also serves well as a general all-around camera. I like the wide angle and the 5x optical zoom. I would recommend this as a rugged auxiliary camera. (My main camera is a Nikon D50.)
