After reviewing a number of cameras, this one seemed the best for my purposes - I wanted a camera with readily available exposure adjustments, wide angle capability, a very short macro, and reasonable zoom range. Having owned a Ricoh film camera some years ago I knew the quality to expect in the brand and trusted it, sight unseen. I couldn't be more pleased with this choice.

The camera is fast to boot, has very little shutter lag and has a macro that has to be seen to be believed. Images are crisp, well exposed and rich. The presence of the "Adjust" button provides all the exposure control that most casual shooters could ever want, without having to search through the menu settings. The menu layout is simple and intuitive as well.

I have no complaints. I received exactly what I expected and more. While I enjoy cameras with aperture and shutter priority modes, I really don't use those modes very often. I doubt that most casual shooters do.
