This is a great camera for street photography and capturing images on the spur of the moment. The light and shadows captured at dusk are exceptional. Full daylight shots are very good if you use exposure compensation at -0.3 through -1.7 depending on the light, shadows, and subject. Backlit subjects are harder to capture but the variable metering allows flexibility. Although aperture and shutter are automatic, it is possible to control exposure compensation, white balance, and ISO with the rocker switch on the right of the camera. Controls work very well and feel good to use. The "fun " element of this camera is very high.

The LCD is so good you think you have taken better images than you sometimes have. This is true of many cameras, however. I think that if you work with the settings on the camera you can get very clear images with good color, detail, and contrast. Noise is apparent when you blow them up to full resolution, but it is possible to crop and zoom with good results.

This is an excellent camera for the money. I have bought several demo models before. I swear I think it is new. The camera build is outstanding. Pictures rival anything I have used before. Get one and see what I mean. For less than 300 bucks, you can not go wrong.
