Very handy menu navigation via F button on lens. Image quality excellent. Auto white balance not perfect, needs tweaking in RAW post-processing. Fine ergonomics, audio and visual confirmations and controls.

Comments about Samsung Samsung NX100 AF DSLR Digital Camera with 20-50mm Zoom Lens, 14.6 Megapixels, APS-C Size CMOS, 3.0 inch Amoled Display - Brown:

The amoled display is exceptional and photos can be composed at about 70 degrees above or below straight-on viewing.
The large sensor gives high-quality images and overwhelms my small travel camera, the Panasonic Lumix LX-1, in terms of low-noise shots indoors. This is a major reason I bought the NX-100 as I prefer natural light in cathedrals, museums and travel interiors.
Adjustments are various and easy for experienced photographers familiar with adjustable cameras.
I've not done actual tests but it appears the separately purchased 50-200 zoom may be a sharper lens, and it has image stabilization.
At first I could not download Samsung's RAW images onto my iMac. Recently, that changed and I can download the RAW files into Adobe Lightroom.
As a former Leica user who prefers a viewfinder, I bought the EVF and it works well -- although it took me awhile to figure out it had to be pushed hard to connect in the camera.
With the sharp photos, much less noise in shadows, I can take publishable photos with the NX-100 and don't need to carry my heavy Canon 5D and lenses on overseas trips.
Minuses:
The kit lens does not have image stabilization, a major minus for a camera of this sophistication. This is especially noticeable on video, which I rarely use, so I can't speak to its ease of use. And Samsung needs more lenses for this camera. I read that they're coming and I can't wait for the 16mm (24) as the kit lens's 20mm - 50mm (30mm - 75mm equivalent) isn't as wide as I'd like for interiors.
The lens is pretty close to the end of the barrel so I bought a filter for protection. Also, the kit lens doesn't have a lens hood, so I bought one.
Unlike other manufacturers, Samsung's battery charger uses a cord to plug into the wall rather than the easier-to-carry charger with retractable plug. These were easy fixes.
Overall:
I considered somewhat comparable Panasonic, Canon and Nikons, as well as four-thirds cameras before selecting the NX-100 based on features, quality and price.
Despite the minuses, I like the NX-100 for its size, quality photos, excellent lack of noise in low-light situations even at high ISO settings, and it's adjustability.
