The shutter speed is fine if you pre-focus, but let's not kid ourselves, it's no slr. The 640x480 clips at 30 fps are also very decent, but once again it's no camcorder. This is a very decent pocket camera if you don't want to pay for a Panasonic LX-3 or Canon G9/G10.
