The real con from this camera comes from the fact that Sony used plasstic in many of the construction elements. However, this helped offset the cost for a great image sensor, great features, and an awesome kit lens. Personally, with an image sensor on par with the D90, and a kit lens like this, I think the plastic elements just help to bring down cost. I consider this a superb camera, especially for budding photographers. The two lens kit especially (with the 75mm-300mm telephoto and carrying case) is a kit that can't be beat.
