Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Adapter fit securely on my A-85 to allow connection to spotting scope for nature photos. That being said, four phone messages to the resident expert to be sure I had the right adapter as well as two e-mails to customer service went unanswered. Bottom line, product fine but don't expect any help if you need it.
