[...]Defect in the lens: blurry spot in the center. This is surprising given both Kodak's and Schneider-Kreuznach's reputation.- Although distortion (aside from center blur at all focal lengths and blur on the edges at telephoto) is minimal, the change in field of view is barely noticeable, and doesn't seem to add the 30% I'd seen cited elsewhere.I'm going to return this item and see about a lower-magnification Raynox lens attachment or even a whole kit.FWIW, the camera I threaded the Xenar attachment onto is a Panasonic FZ-30 with 55mm threads and no adapter.

This lens allows me to get the interior photos I need for my real estate business. It does cause a dark spot with the built in flash, so shots need to have an adequate lighting or use an off camera flash attachment or light source. [...] But all in all, it offers a great alternative to a DSLR with w/a cost wise.

No doubt about it, it expands the capability of your camera. The 0.7X is not as wide as I wanted, but considering what pictures you can now take with this lens, it is a nice addition. Furthermore, it would be tough to find a camera and wide angle lens for the price. If you are in a small room, can't scoot back and can't get everyone into the picture, this lens is the ticket. Excellent for stadium shots too!
The product worked well. It took nice wide angle pictures. The only thing I found the lense is bulky to carry around.
