The 2.8, when combined with IS, lets me get good results in just absurd circumstances.

What should i say bout this lens...it was amazing sharp and super fast focus. Nothing bad bout this lens. Just one day if u upgrade to a full frame camera, u can not use this lens anymore :)

90% of my shots are indoors, with shots of family and friends at social gatherings. I prefer natural lighting and this lens is the perfect solution! People no longer look washed out like ghosts or shiny-oily-skin now that I don't have to use my built-in flash (Canon Xsi). I couldn't be happier! I don't consider it pricey when I'm reviewing the fantastic shots that would have been trashed with another lens.
