This is a great lens for the money
Must be especially careful to avoid dust contamination when changing lens
Feels good to hold

The price is hight but the lens is worth every dollar. I love the strong construction and the fast aperture as well as the good sharp results.
Sometimes I don't carry it with me because its a little bulky and heavy.

This wide, bright lens offers truly superb image quality, right from f2.8 on. Paired with my F100 with MB-15 it balances perfectly. I have shot incredibly sharp images with this lens. If you want to be able to zoom, get the 80-200 or 70-200. If you want stunning image quality, no corner falloff and very nice rendering of unsharp segments of the image ("bokeh"), get this lens and leave the zooms.
