Always on the camera, this lens lets me get in front of the 'people' to get the shot I want.
The small amount of distortion is fixed by software, but this is better than removing unwanted 'bystanders' in the frame by the same software. Watch out for larger filters that creep into the frame.

The 20mm is a light, fast lens that will not produce a shadow when camera built-in flash is used.
It's small size makes it a pleasure to carry around and its 30mm coverage on a APS-size sensor delivers great photos in tight conditions, like parties and events.
Its pro-like f2.8 aperture, allows you to use fast shutter speeds and capture shots lost to slower f3.5-4.6 lenses.
The 20mm f2.8 is still one of Nikon's sharpest lens to date.

Autofocus very responsive sharp as razor throughout the range ,exellent value for money,angle of view DX format 30deg. only 3deg. difference from the 18mm 2.8 D lens @ less than half the price. I would reccomend this lens without any hesitation to those budget concious amateurs & pro's
