What a great lens. Fast, cheap, solid metal mount and not to mention one of the lightest and smallest (Shortest) lens out there for my Nikon D40.

This is a great prime to own and for $200 or so, everyone with a DX should own one! I bought the kit, worth the money as I was going to get the Tiffen filter anyways the extras were "free."

Don't hesitate buying, this should be in your kit of lenses. This one rarely comes off unless I need my 105 macro or zoom lens. This is light and small enough for me to carry around all day and get great pictures.

I am interested in macro's and close up shots, apart from trying out portrait. Based on online research, I selected this lens and am not dissappointed.

Given that my other lens is a 18-250 mm, this lens is pretty light on the camera and easy to carry around. f1.8 adds an all new perspective to the macro shots. The clarity is very revealing of the capabilities of the lens.

I did order this pack as I believe it is very good value for money.

Just got this lens the other day from Adorama and it hasn't been off of my D80 yet. This is a great compliemtn to my walking around 18-200 VR as it is better indoors in low light. I highly recommend this lens.
