Took a chance and purchased a refurb, which turned out to be a good decision. Lens was delivered in brand new looking condition, and well packaged. Focus is excellent in brite lite, but somewhat slower in dim lite, but I can live with it. My photos are very sharp over the 55-200mm range. The VR feature is a great asset. This lens has become my primary lens. Considering price and condition of lens, this was a great buy.
