When I shoot outdoor with no flash this lens is great. very convenient to go from wide angle to tlephoto. I've been changing lens for the extremes and this is so much easier. When doing flash with some depth of field this works.I don't have to shoot at Ap priority to get the depth I need..I still use my 80-200 2.8 for no flash at concerts and stage lit events. But other than that this lens has been on my camera all the time.Very happy with the quality of the images...

Hi, I've been a film photo hobbyist for several decades just now exploring a DSLR. I enjoy traveling light and the "all-in-one" 18-200 XR DI-II fits the bill. This lens is light & small, takes great pictures and a very good values.
The AF is a little noisy, but typical.
I would recommend this lens to walk around a city or the country side and be able to handle many photo opportunities.

I ordered this instead of the Canon 17-85IS lens. Very pleased with the picture quality.[...] I have attached a couple of pics I took in Provincetown, MA last week. The picture of the boat was taken with the zoom at it's full length and I did a little cropping. The sunrise I dont recall the focal length

The Tamron 18-200mm lens is a terrific multi-purpose lens. It is the lens I choose most often whether doing family photos or telephoto shots. The beauty of the lens is the compact format that makes it so versatile. The lens worked great with my Minolta Maxxum camera.
